Deathly Afraid

Who's really scared of haunted houses? I'm sure that some people consider a strobe light or two and some creepy ass dude wearing a stupid rubber mask in an old house a good way to get a thrill, or a laugh. But what about someplace where you can experience genuine fear? This October a new kid on the West End block thinks it's got what it takes to capture one's fear. The Fatal End in the West End offers glimpses into more than 100 various scenes of death as patrons walk through the newly converted 20,000-square-foot space of the West End Marketplace. Fatal End's website asks you to consider your own tolerance of the subject matter they're presenting--sounds genuine to us. Tickets are $22 online, $25 at the door, or $32 online, $35 at the door for the fast pass, which lets you skip in line. The Fatal End opens at 7 p.m. every night in October. More info at dallashaunt.com.
Mondays-Thursdays, Sundays, 7-10 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, 7 p.m.-midnight. Starts: Oct. 20. Continues through Oct. 31, 2010
