The latest exhibition at Gallery 76102 is just as simple as its name. Nicholas Wood's Flats and Rounds is pretty much just that: capsule-like forms, most of which have a flat side or two, drawn in charcoal and pastel on square sheets of paper, along with sculptures of similar shapes. For all their simplicity, though, the drawings manage to be evocative in their own way--and not just because one of figures looks like it has a boner. See for yourself through November 30 at UT Arlington's Fort Worth Center Gallery 76102, 1401 Jones St. in Fort Worth. Call 817-272-0365 or visit gallery76102.org for gallery hours and more information.
Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.; Wednesdays, Fridays, 2-6 p.m. Starts: Oct. 26. Continues through Nov. 30, 2010
