More About

She bends over towards the ground with her elegant neck stretched outwards. Her arms are tightly tucked towards her body and her beady glass eyes sparkle in the imaginary sunlight. Her head begins to jut in and out in a violent manner. Her lips are now a pointed beak, and her overflowing dialogue transforms into a murmur of clucking noises. She is no longer human--she is now a hen. If you're an actor, you know what she's doing and you probably know because you've done it before. And well, if you don't know what she's doing, then maybe you should be a student in Marty's creative drama class. Watch as five average citizens begin taking a community acting class in Annie Baker's award-winning play, Circle Mirror Transformation. You'll realize there's more to playing make believe than you could have ever imagined. Circle Mirror Transformation plays at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays through November 21 at the Addison Theatre Centre, 15650 Addison Road. Tickets are $20. Call 972-450-6232 or visit watertowertheatre.org.
Thursdays, 7:30 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: Nov. 4. Continues through Nov. 21, 2010
