Trio

Three is a magical number--good stuff always comes in threes (as do celebrity deaths, but that's beside the point). There's The Three Musketeers, Three Cups of Tea, the Three Wise Men and, of course, Three's Company. Being a part of a triumvirate is a magical thing, so perhaps that's why the folks at Craighead-Green Gallery tend to have group exhibits, each time featuring three amazing artists. The current colorful multi-media exhibition features three unique artists doing what they do best: Yrjo Edelmann, a Swedish illusionist painter who requires "do not touch" signage, Marla Ziegler, a Dallas sculptor whose black and white works are designed to show the simplicity of complexity, and David Brown, who is finally bringing his geometric color works to town in his first exhibit outside of New York. The three artists' paintings and sculptures will be on display at Craighead-Green Gallery,1011 Dragon Street, through December 29. Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Mondays, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. Call 214-855-0779 or visit craigheadgreen.com.
