Tokyo Police Club, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin

Tuesday, February 1, at the Granada Theater

In spite of having been around for five years—a lifetime for some indie bands—Tokyo Police Club have managed to sustain a devoted fan base with their jangly garage-rock style. But, though they will headline this performance at the Granada Theater in support of last summer's super-catchy Champ release, Tokyo Police Club aren't necessarily the band that needs to be checked out at this show.

More About

That designation belongs to main support act, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, a band that deserves an early arrival from the crowd. The quartet is touring in support of their most recent effort, Let It Sway, their third full-length LP. Despite the clunky name, this Canadian outfit boasts an uncanny ability for writing incredibly catchy indie pop-rock gems that will rattle around in your head long after their set is over.
