Spill the Beans, Sister
The plot of the The Sugar Bean Sisters hinges around two sisters in the timeless pursuit of escaping their lots in life. What would you do if you wanted to change your life? We'll bet you didn't say "Why, I'd hop on the next spaceship outta here and leave planet Earth altogether." We doubt you chose "dabble in polygamy," either, but strangely, these are the two exact strategies employed by sisters Faye and Willie Mae in their attempt to escape their lives as spinsters in this dark comedy. One sister moves to Salt Lake City, Utah, while the other hopes to find escape with "the space people" upon their return to Earth. The zany production runs Thursdays through Sundays through February 19 at the Granville Arts Center, 300 N. Fifth St. in Garland. Tickets are $20.
