Pristine Sistine

History buff or not, century-old manuscripts are pretty cool, especially you're talking about the only remaining set of codices from the Sacristy of the Sistine Chapel. Remember Napoleon? Well, these codices were taken from Napoleon's armies, only to be rescued by the Archbishop of Toledo. Thanks to their discovery in the Cathedral of Toledo, The Lost Manuscripts from the Sistine Chapel: An Epic Journey from Rome to Toledo, is on display through April 23 at Meadows Museum, 5900 Bishop Blvd. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays. For more information, visit smu.edu/meadowsmuseum.
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Starts: Feb. 17. Continues through April 23, 2011
