Your Baseball Season Guide to Pre- and Post-Game Eats and Drinks in Arlington
By Lauren Drewes Daniels
When you first discover "Queen of Rockabilly" Wanda Jackson, you'll spend about a month in awe of her sinful growl. Easily one of the most underrated female instruments in rock and country, Jackson's voice can sound shredded by the daggers of love one moment and absolutely man-ravaging the next.

Early in her career, she toured with Elvis Presley, and even dated the King for a bit while they traversed the States spreading their gospel of hopped-up country—which would soon become early rock 'n' roll. Her 1960 LP Rockin' with Wanda finds Jackson at her most lethal, with tracks like "Baby Loves Him" and "Fujiyama Mama" showcasing her distinctive purr. (You wouldn't want to get on the bad side of the girl in the latter song, believe us.)
Her new album, cut with Jack White this past year, just hit the shelves in January—and it's very much intended to be the same kind of career redefinition that his 2004 album with Jackson's fellow legend Loretta Lynn, Van Lear Rose, was. Consider this show a must-see.
