We Hope They Get It

Before there was American Idol and similar audition shows, there was Broadway. And, getting there had absolutely nothing to do with people voting from their couch via text message. But the process was harrowing, all the same. The classic musical A Chorus Line gives audiences a glimpse of the happiness, hardships and hard work behind auditioning for a musical. Audiences can't vote for them, but after growing closer to the actors through their individual performances and stories, it would be much too difficult to pick a single favorite, anyway. A Chorus Line runs at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays to Thursdays; 8 p.m. Fridays; 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturdays, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sundays through April 4 at the Bass Performance Hall, 4th and Calhoun streets in Fort Worth. Tickets are $22 to $66. Call 877-212-4280 or visit basshall.com.
Tue., March 29, 7:30 p.m.; Wed., March 30, 7:30 p.m.; Thu., March 31, 7:30 p.m.; Fri., April 1, 8 p.m.; Sat., April 2, 2 p.m.; Sun., April 3, 2, 7 & 8 p.m., 2011
