Outside of Mick Jagger's cooing in "Sympathy for the Devil," there is very little work out there that gives the dark lord the credit he truly deserves. Taken from the perspective of a demon, the stage adaptation of C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters will give audiences a new understanding of the depths of spiritual warfare and just how damn funny it can be. Coming straight out of hell to the Majestic Theatre (1925 Elm St.), The Screwtape Letters follows Satan's top psychiatrist, His Abysmal Sublimity Screwtape, and his secretary Toadpipe, as they train a rookie demon named Wormwood in the art of corrupting human souls. Appearing for a limited engagement, the show will run at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with an additional 4 p.m. matinee on Saturday. Tickets are $38 to $89. Call 214-880-0202 or visit attpac.org.
Fri., April 1, 8 p.m.; Sat., April 2, 4 & 8 p.m., 2011
