Camelot on Canvas

So much attention has been focused on John F. Kennedy's death that his life is often forgotten, especially in the city where he was assassinated. Now Washington, D.C., psychiatrist Alen J. Salerian is putting the focus back on the man himself and his legacy through a collection of 200 paintings of Kennedy and his family. Dr. Salerian renders black and white photographs into wildly colorful oil and pastel works that invoke an emotional, almost visceral, response from viewers. Experience JFK: Magnificent Journey at 1701 N. Market St,. near Dealey Plaza. The exhibit continues through June 15. Admission is free. Visit jfkmagnificentjourney.org for more information.
Tuesdays-Sundays, 12-7 p.m. Starts: March 15. Continues through June 15, 2011
