The 420 party and concert is gonna be sweet as an Island Skunk, even if it turns out to be a Trainwreck. All your best buds will be there—Granddaddy Purp, the White Widow and the Chemdog. Jack Herer might show, and count on a strong showing from the Kush family (Bubba, Cocoa, Master, O.G. and all the rest—who can keep up with them?). Pretty much everyone is invited, though Reggie probably won’t be present. To be blunt, he’s not kind enough for this party. And it may be in Dallas, but we’re not too far from the Shoreline—and there’s a good chance we’ll see the Northern Lights. I might even have to use my AK-47—I have to say, it’ll be a good day. Maybe even good enough to put you in a Blue Dream or a Silver Haze. The performing bands—mostly reggae or reggae-influenced, surprise, surprise—include The Effinays, Melody Memory, Pearl Street Riot, Bum Lucky, Sensible, Joshua Sinai and ellanorse. Spark it at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Green Elephant, 5627 Dyer St. Cover is $10 or $7 for DFW NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) members or ladies.
