You may already be living life by the three Rs -- reduce, reuse and recycle -- but that doesn't mean there aren't a few new and improved ways to live greener. The Green Living Family Festival invites families to learn eco-friendly tips from green vendors and enjoy live entertainment, while the kiddos participate in some activities just for them. Take a break from the festival to walk on through the new Bugs! exhibit, see Animals of the World or stroll through the nature trails. The festival kicks off this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Heard Museum, 1 Nature Place in McKinney. Admission ranges from $6 to $9, but McKinney residents can enjoy free admission with a valid driver's license or current water bill. For more information, visit heardmuseum.org.
Sat., April 30, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., 2011
