Finding affordable date ideas can be tough if you don't want to compromise on quality. Movies are fun, but not a unique experience unless it's something special, such as a drive-in theater. But if you've been to a drive-in during the last decade, you already know the entertainment relics are neither as accessible nor as cheap as they once were. We propose an idea that meets half-way. Half Price Books is hosting Movies in the Parking Lot, and the latest screening is Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows: Part I. The urban setting is not a traditional drive-in, but it's ideal for a spontaneous date or a night out with the kids. Bring your lawn-chairs and favorite snacks, and find out if the young wizard and his friends are able to capture the remaining horcruxes before the evil Voldemort. The event is in the parking lot at Half Price Books Flagship Store, 5803 E. Northwest Hwy. There is no admission fee for muggles. The film begins at 8:45 p.m. so arrive early for a good spot.
