Garrison Keillor is by far the most difficult card to play in the game Apples to Apples. Unlike Helen Keller and Bill Murray, which are reliable trump cards, Keillor usually elicits an exasperated sigh when drawn from the pile. Not so when it comes to the radio, however. Keillor and his radio variety show, A Prairie Home Companion, have been entertaining listeners for more than 30 years, and if you grew up in an NPR-loving family, the sound of his voice is as familiar as that of your own grandpa. The only thing missing from the radio show (and to some degree, from all our favorite radio shows) is the ability to see the action as it happens. That's where Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home Companion Summer Love Tour 2011 comes in. Keillor, along with sound effects man Fred Newman and The Guy's All-Star Shoe Band, will be performing all your favorite segments -- Guy Noir, Lake Wobegon and more -- live at Bass Performance Hall, 525 Commerce St. in Fort Worth, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The even better news? Lindsay Lohan won't be part of it. Tickets start at $44. For tickets or more information, call 817-212-4280 or visit basshall.com.
