Say Hello to Leatherface

If you can’t watch a scary movie without flinching every 30 seconds, you may not want to partake in a night full of skeletons, chain saws and men in masks. As horrifying as it may sound, some people actually love the few minutes of torture. This year’s lineup of haunted houses will have the scaredy cats running for the streets. The Boneyard Haunted House invites those willing to spend a few minutes in their half of a mile-long house to jump for the exit doors. According to its website, in 2006, the Boneyard beat the Guinness World Record for the largest walk through a haunted house in the world by 20 percent. This year’s house will feature the most horrifying scenes from movies like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The Boneyard opens its gates weekdays and Sundays from 7 to 10 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to midnight at 2921 E. Division St. in Arlington. Tickets are $25 and are sold online and at the door. Tickets sold at the door are cash only. For more information, call 817-451-2663 or go to theboneyard.org.
Fridays, Saturdays, 7 p.m.-midnight; Sundays, 7-11 p.m.; Oct. 23-27, 7-11 p.m. Starts: Sept. 23. Continues through Oct. 30, 2011
