As the story goes, a band of peripatetic, out-of-work carnies ended up squatting in the old Market Center Building at 603 Munger Ave. during the Great Depression. They took up residence in the structure’s lower, subterranean recesses. And if that wasn’t creepy enough, cadavers were stored down there in the summertime like so many sides of beef. Bingo, bango, a black market for body parts is born, and the cavern’s canny denizens became greedy, raiding fresh graves, the morgue and even — dunh dunh duunh — murdered to get their wares. The law got wind of it, but they did nothing. No one knows what ever happened to all those murderous carnies. Are they dead? Eh, who knows. Are they undead? Well, it’d be a lot cooler if they were. You should probably go visit The Fatal End in the West End to find out. But before you go, ask yourself, “Is there even a kernel of truth in any of the crazy shit I just read?” Honestly, we don’t really want to know. Better that you find out for yourself. So, yeah, let us know how that goes. General admission tickets are $20 online, $25 at the door. Visit dallashaunt.com/fatal_end/home.html.
