Choo-Choo Goes Boo

The season of spooks is the time to challenge the conventions of caution and emotional comfort, to investigate abandoned mansions, take strolls through foggy woods or ride a rickety passenger train through an eerie ghost town. The latter will probably be the easiest to find around Dallas on Saturday when passengers rumble down the Grapevine Vintage Railroad boarded on Victorian-style coaches for the All Hallows Eve Train. Downtown Grapevine isn’t quite a ghost town and the train ride won’t be rickety, but there will be ghost stories, and passengers are encouraged to wear costumes. The cost is $20 per person and coaches board 7 p.m. at the Cotton Belt Depot, 709 S. Main St., Grapevine. To purchase tickets, visit grapevinetexasusa.com or call 817-410-3385.
