Pick a Pocket or Two

It’s a dog-eat-dog world out there, and sometimes you must pick a pocket or two. Learn the rugged ways of survival from the best of the best with Oliver! the musical version of the Charles Dickens classic Oliver Twist. Join the little orphan who could when he escapes from the orphanage and makes his way through the rancid streets of London, pickpocketing with Fagin and the Artful Dodger to make ends meet. Will Oliver ever find a place to fit in? Will he consider himself part of a family? The show includes songs written and composed by Lionel Bart including “I’d Do Anything,” “Where is Love?” and “Consider Yourself.” The production stars Logan Macaulay, J. Mendl and Doug LoPachin. Oliver! takes place at Casa Mañana Theatre, 3101 West Lancaster Ave., through Sunday. Tickets are $16 to $21. For more information, call 817-332-2272 or visit casamanana.org.
Saturdays, 1 p.m.; Fridays, 7 p.m.; Saturdays, 1 & 5 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: Oct. 15. Continues through Oct. 30, 2011
