If you know you or your kids would have a hard time sitting through both acts of The Nutcracker, then The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, 2121 McKinney Ave., has a more family-friendly option this holiday season: brunch. The luxury hotel will host a Nutcracker-inspired Brunch of the Sugar Plum Fairy on Sunday in the 9,500-square-foot Ritz-Carlton Ballroom. The event features a special family brunch for kids of all ages, interactive children's holiday activities -- such as a cookie decorating station with icing, sprinkles and candy -- and a live performance by 20 dancers from the Texas Ballet Theater.
