Just as the death of Hall's father has changed the meaning of the holiday season, it has altered the meaning of the album as well. Comfort and joy aren't just meant to be felt during the holidays. They are absent from so many lives all year, and it just takes one difficult holiday season to realize they're gone. Hall hopes his father's story can help bring comfort and joy to those who lack it this holiday season.
"If you're hurting or struggling, tell someone," Hall urges. "Reach out for help. It's going to be a tough Christmas, but there's going to be hope in it."
