The last time violinist Daniel Hart headlined in town, he led his three backing players through a 30-minute, six-song set of melodic pop. It happened in a blink, but during that short time the music was deliberate and powerful. It burned hot, then it burned out. Such is the tendency of a performer whose career exists between the tours and studio sessions of more well-known acts. Hart has performed with Broken Social Scene, St. Vincent, Polyphonic Spree and, in March, he'll be opening for Radiohead in Dallas with Oklahoma act The Other Lives. So performances like this one at El Sibil are rare. Fellow locals Darstar and Spook Easy bend ears first.
