Oak Cliff Mardi Gras Celebration kicks off its third year with three featured events. Dash for the Beads is a 5K run suitable for all ages and your pooch. The race begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday in the Bishop Arts District. Tickets range from $15 to $30. Suit up for the Masquerade Ball, which includes Cajun treats and a full bar. The masked crusade begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday at The Kessler Theater, 1230 W. Davis St. Tickets range from $25 to $600. If you can’t get enough of parades, check out the Mardi “Growl” benefiting Operation Kindness as it howls in celebration of man’s best friend.
