Long before the Super Bowl appended that long string of Roman numerals, before televised football was an industry all its own, the local newspaper with its team of dedicated sports writers was the go-to for the breakdown of the most recent games. Larry Herold’s The Sports Page takes a look at another one of the big changes that hit the industry in the 1960s: the end of the boys’ club. Zinc Tucker and Doyle Miller, a couple of heavy-drinking good ol’ boys, have a sweet deal in place with access to the Cowboys' 50 yard line and little competition. But when Jane Jordan starts covering their beat for television, things get ugly. This stage comedy runs through March 18 at the Stage West Theatre, 821 W. Vickery Blvd., Fort Worth. Tickets start at $26, with discounts for students and seniors. For information and tickets, call 817-784-9378 or visit stagewest.org.
