If quickly glancing at the Nasher's announcement that it will host a performance of "Heard," Nick Cave's wearable, musical costumes, you might think Grinderman himself has moved into the visual arts. That is not the case. Internationally known for his Soundsuits, Cave’s wearable sculptures compose a unique and natural sound of their own as the materials brush together. Whimsical and vibrant, each Soundsuit is an assemblage of items from twigs and beads to dryer lint. On Sunday, Cave, accompanied by UNT’s College of Music and Department of Dance and Theatre, will showcase 30 horse-like Soundsuits that will evolve into hybrid forms as they move through the Nasher’s museum and garden. This multisensory experience begins at 1:30 p.m. at the Nasher Sculpture Center (2001 Flora St). Visit www.nashersculpturecenter.org, or call 214-242-5100.
