An activist since her husband’s diagnosis, Rehm works tirelessly with the organization’s intensive voice treatment program dedicated to helping Parkinson’s patients maintain their abilities to speak and swallow — a mission doubly significant to the radio star following her own battle with spasmodic dysphonia, a neurological voice disorder that challenged her career in 1998.
