If you like to sh-sh-sh-shake that ass, girl, you better rest your buns (and your bunions), because you’ll be dancing your pants off real soon. For some, that’s not an exaggeration. For others, there were never any pants to begin with. The Purple Party is a night of bumps, grinds and music loud enough to potentially ruin what’s left of your hearing. Fortunately, you can do like Olivia Newton-John suggested years ago and let them hear your body talk. Or, you know, just write your number on a napkin. Either way. The Purple Party kicks off at 9:30 p.m. Friday at S4, 3911 Cedar Springs Road, and if you’re reading this, I’m guessing you don’t need directions. DJs Joe Gauthreaux and Paul McElroy will be there, along with Manila Luzon, Sahara Davenport and the fabulously fabulous Rose Room cast. The Purple Party benefits the Purple Foundation, which “aims to improve the lives of people in Dallas who are living with or affected by HIV/AIDS.” Tickets are $20 at the door, those ages 18 and older admitted.
