You’ve got water skiing in my surfing! You’ve got surfing in my water skiing! Also there’s some skateboarding culture in there? Whatever. Point is, wakeboarding is wild and fast-paced even by action-sports standards and, yes, even we landlocked Texans get to get in on the watersport action. The 2012 MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour is coming to Lake Moser and it’s bringing big names and big boats for the occasion. Phil Soven, the three-time King of Wake and four time Pro Tour champion, will be there to defend his title from Harley Clifford, an Australian up-and-comer and 2011 Pro Tour runner-up who was just half a point away from Soven’s score at last year’s Fort Worth event. The boarders hit the water Saturday at 2161 E. Loop 820N. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $13 at the gate. For more information and details, visit kingofwake.com.
