There was a time in America when family dinners were a thing and fast food restaurants weren’t. When a kid’s biggest concern was dodging lawn darts and not virtual insults. Pat Hazell remembers that time. So well, in fact, that he wrote an entire half-theater, half-stand-up routine about it. It’s called The Wonder Bread Years, and it’s basically one of those “if you grew up in the [insert decade]” lists brought to life … with humor … and better writing. Also, it’s geared toward Baby Boomers. (Not you, dopey Gen-Xer.) All in all, the show promises to take the audience back to a time when “Kool-Aid stands were big business and green army men ruled.” Ahhhh. You can practically smell the homemade pie cooling on the windowsill. The Wonder Bread Years opens 7:30 p.m. at Bass Performance Hall’s McDavid Studio, 301 E. 5th St., Fort Worth, and continues through July 29.
