The League of Animal Protectors sounds like a fur-loving cluster of superheroes. Actually, that’s a fairly accurate description. LAP is a local nonprofit dedicated to rehabilitation, fostering and eventual adoption of stray dogs and cats, and Sunday they’re going to get you wasted. Dog owners already know that Lee Harvey’s is the Sunday watering hole for pups and their handlers, but from 5 to 9 p.m. this Sunday, LAP is throwing an additional party on top of that. A $10 donation at the door gets you access to happy-hour prices for 240 glorious minutes. That means you’ll get $3 wells, $2.75 domestics (which includes Shiner, thank you very much) and $3.25 margaritas and bloody marys! Add on that Lee Harvey’s is completely fenced in, so your fur child can run rampant and sleep hard that night, and it’s a perfect evening. (Bring a non-drinker along, unless Fido can drive a stick.)
