If you’ve held out this long to visit the F.O.E., tonight is when you break your streak. The oasis of Jell-O shots and water canons will be hijacked by local photographers, painters and sketch artists. Oh, and there’s a shit-ton of booze. It’s a fundraiser for girlShow, Dallas’ biggest one-night art and music party to feature work created exclusively by women. If we want girlShow to be its most fabulous self October 20 (we do, by the way), its organizing group, ArtLoveMagic, needs seed money. Raising it couldn’t be easier. They’ve got liquor sponsors, so your $10 donation gets you three free Deep Eddy cocktails. They’ll have bodypainted models in vintage fashions, sketch artists on site to commemorate the experience, a photo booth and several girlShow artists providing a visual appetizer of October’s art buffet. The party runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the F.O.E. (8500 Arturo Drive). You can buy pre-sale tickets at girlshowpoolparty-efbevent.eventbrite.com. Otherwise, show up with cash.
