Do you hate working at a job that discourages heckling potential customers? Is the only thing that bothers you about working in a uniform the question of its historic authenticity? Would you gladly trade your air-conditioned office for a bad case of bodice burn? If you answered “yea” to any of those questions, then huzzah! The 2012 Texas Renaissance Festival Job Faire is upon us once again to recruit the finest hockers, turkey-leg mongers and more for the largest Renaissance festival in the United States. Independent vendors will interview potential hires on site, so bring two forms of identification and no, your “Mead Swiller 2011” chalice doesn’t count (though it totally should). You might be there for as long as four hours, so wear comfortable clothes (read: no armor). Consider it preparation for the real deal.
