Something wicked this way comes in Shakespeare Dallas’ fall production of Macbeth, directed by Stefan Novinski with an all-local cast. Let’s hope it’s not the weather. Cool breezes would complement the Bard’s short but hot-tempered drama about unbridled ambitions. Brave Macbeth murders his way to the throne of Scotland at the behest of his sexy, sleepwalking wife and some nasty witches who brew hexes over hot cauldrons. Pack your favorite potions, hot or chilled, for an outdoor picnic at this performance under the stars. There’s a free preview 8 p.m. Wednesday at Samuell Grand Amphitheatre, 1500 Tenison Parkway. All other performances are 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays, through September 29. Price is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and students. Children 12 and younger are free. Reservations not necessary. Bring blankets or low lawn chairs for seating. Leave your swords at home.
