Whether you’re sporting crimson and cream, burnt orange or just whatever you rolled out of bed in, there’s no shortage of parties in honor of the legendary Red River Shootout. Watch the game in neutral territory at the historic Granada Theater (3524 Greenville Ave.). Doors open at 1 p.m. and you can catch all the action on any of three huge HD screens with concert sound. Admission is free, buckets of beer are on special and $20 gets you a sizzling fajita buffet from chef Patrick Stark. If you prefer to watch the game in the exclusive company of fellow Longhorns, head to the watching party at The Fan Sports Lounge (2990 Olive St.) and enjoy food and drink specials all day. Sooners can mingle and enjoy libations at their official watch party site, Three Sheets (3133 Ross Ave.). After the game is over, you’ve got your pick of big parties in Big D. Hit up Teddy’s Room (2404 Cedar Springs) for beats from DJ NVS and a burlesque performance from Melissa Chiz. Finally, for nightowls, Zouk (703 McKinney Ave.) throws down until 3 a.m. during their overtime bash with Texas’ DJ Blitz and Oklahoma’s DJ Boom waging their own Red River Rivalry.
