Saturday is a big night for CADD galleries, with loads of openings happening around town. Over in the Design District, you’ll want to get emotionally stoic and aesthetically stripped down with TEXAS-BAUHAUS, a new exhibition by Photographs Do Not Bend. It pairs three female North Texas photographers’ work with several Bauhaus artists, the tie-in being that the belles learned the minimalist lighting methods through a hand-me-down tutelage structure; the original mentor was Laszlo Maholy-Nagy, a teacher at the original Bauhaus school. It will be interesting to see how the two groups pair and differ from one another. This opening reception runs from 5 to 8 p.m. PDNB is located at 1202 Dragon St. Suite. 103. There’s a triple threat of a show happening over at Conduit, with house artist Jules Buck Jones and Jennie Ottinger filling out the main spaces, but don’t miss the video art survey by local smarty pants professor Benjamin Lima. It’s happening in the project room. That opening runs from 6 to 8 p.m. and is located at 1626 C Hi Line. The art parade doesn’t end there.
