’Tis the season for all of the yuletide staples to make an appearance, and at the top of that list, right next to Santa Claus and those Coca-Cola drinking polar bears, you’re going to find A Christmas Carol. A story that never gets old, we’ve embraced A Christmas Carol for more than 150 years, and the timeless tale is taking the stage once again, thanks to The Dallas Theater Center. Skip the mall and join the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet to Come at one of two performances Sunday (noon and 4 p.m.) for Richard Hellesen’s musical adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic, a song-filled production perfect for the whole family, Scrooges and Cratchits alike. The Dallas Theater Center’s production of A Christmas Carol will have performances Wednesdays through Sundays until December 23 at the Kalita Humphreys Theater, 3636 Turtle Creek Blvd. Tickets are $15 to $50.
