Especially when you could spice up your holidays with Viva Dallas Burlesque’s Festivus Folliesat 8 p.m. Friday in the Lakewood Theater (1825 Abrams Road). Watch the lovely ladies of Viva Dallas make merry as they remove their holiday finery and jingle all manner of bells with the help of burlesque legend Jo “Boobs” Weldon, author of The Burlesque Handbook. Portland’s Angelique DeVil will be on hand to bring some joy to the world ... and best of all, you get to stay on Santa’s good side, as proceeds from the event go to benefit Home for the Holidays Texas, an AIDS resource organization.
