You know ’em, you break ’em, let’s give it up for The Ten Commandments!!! And not the boring old stone tablets. The actual movie starring Yul Brynner, Charlton Heston and Heston’s questionable fake beard. Listed as the 10th best film of all time in the epic genre, The Ten Cs is also one of the most financially successful films ever made. Not that you need to know either of those things, the fact that it’s showing on Easter Sunday is reason enough to dig your way out of cellophane grass and head to the Texas Theatre (231 W. Jefferson Blvd.) at 4 p.m. I was just giving you fodder for the popcorn line. One more thing to impress anyone with ears? Heston double-roled in this feature — he was also the voice of God in the burning bush scene. Does his talent know no bounds?!? Tickets are $10 and on sale now at thetexastheatre.com.
