If you wanted to make this your summer of culture, to take advantage of all the art and theater and music that this city has to offer, you’ve had ample opportunity thus far. And if you’ve wanted to do it on the cheap, well, this season was practically made for you. You could get through almost every cultural institution in this city without paying a dime if you played your cards right. The one holdout, though? Theater.
