Don’t put that costume away just yet, because the Halloween spirit is being extended, and it’s for a good cause. At the 2013 Witches’ Ball, Feline Phantasm, all the lovely witches will be trading in their black cats for a special benefit honoring their big cat brethren. An outbreak of fatal canine distemper has been taking its toll on the exotic cats of In-Sync Exotics in Wylie, so Witches’ Ball Charities is stepping up to throw a ball on their behalf, full of dancing, entertainment and an awesome silent auction and raffle. The evening will be led by Miss Violet O’Hara and include entertainment by the Circus Freaks, a ragtag group of vaudevillians; free psychic readings; and a costume contest ($75 to the fanciest feline). The 21-and-up fun runs from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday at The Quixotic World, 2824 Main St. Tickets are $40 and include a raffle ticket. Call 972-588-4701 or visit witchesballcharities.org.
