Kids watching cartoons on a Saturday morning isn’t really a thing these days. Their favorite shows are more accessible than our Adderall-free minds could even fathom, meaning they can stream the stuff rather than wake up early. But what kind of crap is that? Let’s teach our kids the true meaning of Saturday morning by taking them to the Alamo Drafthouse’s Cartoon Cereal Party. Bonus: It will also teach them the true meaning of the holidays. Starting at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Alamo (100 S. Central Expressway) kids of all ages will watch two full hours of special Christmas episodes of true cartoon classics like Ren & Stimpy, Animaniacs and the ’90s version of Batman: The Animated Series while bowls of artificially colored cereals are shoved in front of them until they either turn the color of the cereal they’ve been eating or the Food and Drug Administration steps in. Visit drafthouse.com/alamo. Tickets cost $10.
