Before you load up on green beads and beer and get too drunk to remember your phone number, we suggest you stock up on good karma. And what better way to get some than with a little bit of early-morning charity? On Saturday you can jump into St. Paddy’s Day with both feet. Just grab your running shoes and pick a great cause. If you want to support the North Texas Food Bank while scoping out your favorite parade spots, sign up for the Dash Down Greenville 5K. If you’re more of a slow-and-steady-wins-the-race kind of person, you can join AIDS Walk South Dallas 2013 and strut with purpose through historic South Dallas. Both events kick off bright and early at 8 a.m. Visit runproject.org or aidswalksouthdallas.com for registration information.
