The word "stimulate" is a contender for the most popular term in today's political jargon. Stimulate the economy. Stimulate growth and opportunity. Stimulus packages. For some, this rhetoric is a stimulant for goodwill, patriotism and hope. For others, it stimulates the gag reflex. Oh, ideological concepts, you tricky devils in pretty packages! Swine parading around in business suits--our government! I digress... Craighead Green Gallery plays off the double entendre in its upcoming exhibition, Stimulate. Longtime CGG contributors, plus seven newcomers to the Dallas scene, were stimulated to present fresh works in distinct mediums--to turn a new page during these rough times for artists. However difficult, economic downturns are arguably the best times for innovation. CGG agrees. Stimulate runs through April 25. Call 214-855-0779 or visit craigheadgreen.com.
