Aim For the Halo

Remember Duck Hunt? Most of you probably played it at some point in the '80s. So, let's say you're playing Duck Hunt and, between flocks of ducks, a celestial being wings its way across the screen, at which point you pump it full of infrared lead. Would you feel bad?...

Remember Duck Hunt? Most of you probably played it at some point in the '80s. So, let's say you're playing Duck Hunt and, between flocks of ducks, a celestial being wings its way across the screen, at which point you pump it full of infrared lead. Would you feel bad? Would the Duck Hunt dog laugh at you? Keep these questions in mind as you watch Duck Hunter Shoots Angel, playing now through December 19 at the Trinity Arts Theater, 2819 Forest Ridge Drive in Bedford. Written by Mitch Albom--he of Tuesdays With Morrie and The Five People You Meet in Heaven fame--the play tells the tale of a tabloid journalist who travels to Alabama, where he investigates two duck hunters claiming they've gone and shot an angel. So if you enjoyed the nearly identical 1996 Nora Ephron/John Travolta film Michael, you'll probably like this too. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays (with 2 p.m. Saturday matinees). Tickets are $15, or $12 for matinees. Visit onstageinbedford.com.
Fridays, 8 p.m.; Saturdays, 2 & 8 p.m. Starts: Dec. 4. Continues through Dec. 14, 2009
