Baby Cardinals

Springfield, Missouri, has the most diverse weather pattern in America according to Forbes magazine, which means the AAA Springfield Cardinals might present somewhat of a threat to our own Frisco RoughRiders. For starters, they're an affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, who have won 10 World Series to the Texas Rangers' zero, and they can conceivably play in any weather condition to boot. In Frisco there are only two types of baseball weather: blazing heat and tornadoes. Perhaps they should take weather out of the equation and move the games inside IKEA just to be safe. Or perhaps the RoughRiders will luck out when they take on the Springfield Cardinals this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Dr Pepper Ballpark. Tickets are $7 to $19. Visit
