Do you ever pick up a newspaper from a few days ago and read that your favorite band was in town and wonder how you missed it? Or log into Facebook to see pictures from a party you forgot to attend? Don’t let that happen to you with the USA Film Festival. For 44 years running, this annual Dallas event draws in great flicks and talented filmmakers, but sneaks up and passes by before we have time to bat an eye. The festival opens at 7 p.m. Tuesday with Fading Gigolo, a movie from writer/director/actor John Turturro that stars Woody Allen, Sharon Stone, Sofia Vergara and Liev Schrieber. After the film, Turturro will be joined on a panel for no apparent reason by acclaimed author and Dallas native Stephen Tobolowsky. The festival runs through April 27 with guests that include Linda Gray, Ed Harris and Robert Duvall. All screenings will take place at the Angelika Film Center, 5321 E. Mockingbird Lane.
