Human interaction is a weird beast. It inspires a range of emotions from euphoria to awkwardness. It can make people fall in love and develop a deep seeded hatred for one another within the span of a single sentence. It can make people want to spend the rest of their lives with them or force them to Google "how to file a restraining order against someone." Two improvisational comedy groups at the Dallas Comedy House use this form of social Russian Roulette to inspire their scenes and create comedy. Cupcake takes a line of dialogue from someone in the audience and uses it as the driving force of their made-up scenes and situations. F.A.C.E. steps beyond the boundaries of the stage and creates a live comedy experience that performs with the audience rather than for them. Both will perform at 10:30 p.m. Friday at the Dallas Comedy House, 2645 Commerce St. Tickets are $8 in advance at dallascomedyhouse.com.
Fri., June 27, 10:30 p.m., 2014
