And here in Dallas they’re kicking off the party at 4:30 p.m. at Kalachandji’s Hare Krishna Temple (5430 Gurley Ave.). Whether you’re already a seasoned Vaishnavite or just wondering what the deal is with all the chanting, you can join millions of people around the world in celebrating the birthday of “the Butter Thief.” The whole thing culminates in a huge midnight worship service, and there will be free vegetarian food and music throughout the night.
