Oprah Winfrey Arrives in Dallas Next Week to Rap with Megachurch Bishop TD Jakes

Oprah's Lifeclass

, the talk show superstar's NAACP Image Award-winning series, tapes its next episode at Dallas' American Airlines Center on Thursday, August 29. She'll share the stage with Bishop TD Jakes to discuss fatherless children in America and the community's outreach role. The episode will air on OWN network in September.

Sorry, you won't find prizes under your seat at this one.

The filming covers two segments, each requiring separate ticket purchases; one at 9 a.m. and the next at 11 a.m. The rap session serves as a kick-off for MegaFest, a three-day tidal wave of evangelical praise sponsored by the Bishop's own TD Jakes Ministries.

See, Jakes is more than just a preacher at The Potter's House, Dallas' 35,000-strong megachurch. He's the man behind the location's growth as well as the force behind TD Jakes Ministries, an empire that pushes out dozens of books, audio and video recordings; offers executive education certificate programs through T.D. Jakes School of Leadership, housed within Regent University; and is the force behind MegaFest, an annual three-day evangelical event that this interview with Oprah kicks off and sells tickets by the tens of thousands.

Time Magazine called Jakes "America's Best Preacher" in 2001 and listed him as one of America's 25 Most Influential Evangelicals in 2005.
