While the details haven't been officially released, Klyde Warren Park announced via Facebook this morning that Dallas native, occasional introspective indie movie actor, sometime Hollywood A-lister and general sexy beast Owen Wilson will serve as Honorary Chair during the park's long-anticipated opening. The Park's media department was unable to release further details or comment this morning, but anticipated an official statement in the coming hours. We'll update when we have them.
Set for October 27 and 28, the Grand Opening festivities will include a public ribbon cutting ceremony, as well as coordination with the Arts District's Art in October programming, and Chase has just signed on as official sponsor. Plans for a terrace restaurant, dog park, children's garden and performance stage are underway.
